Do Your QR Codes Have You Trapped?

Do Your QR Codes Have You Trapped?

Let me see if I can guess why you're here...

You signed up for a free trial of a service.

They generated a snazzy QR code for you.

You made it a dynamic QR code.

Then you printed it out and used it for your customers.

It's working! Fantastic! And you never have to reprint the QR Code!

Now you can just change where the dynamic QR code points and all of your QR codes are updated!

Except it comes with one catch.

The vendor owns the domain that the dynamic QR code is pointed at.

This means you are trapped. That QR code will never be yours. If they charge a fee, you will always have to pay it. The second you stop, your QR code becomes useless. Worse, that vendor could sell that QR code domain to someone else if they want.

This isn't a long term way to do business. It's a short term way to pad SaaS vendor lock-in!

We do it differently at fizz.ly.

"Dynamic" QR codes are free. They're just QR codes pointed at short links, after all!

And the short links? Sure, we own some (i.e. the fizz.ly domain). But we are also making it cheaper and easier than ever to use your own domain! Then you are in control!

Sound good?
